L. H. Culbertson, 125 Castor St
In 1940, L.H. Culbertson's blacksmith and machine shop was the oldest continuous business in Dexter. Culbertson did blacksmith work as far back as 1873 when the railroad came through Dexter, doing work for the railroad company. In 1882, he opened his own shop (Dexter Statesman, August 2, 1940).
